How can clean air handling units meet the air quality requirements of different locations?

Author:Jingjiang Nuode Air Conditioning Equipment Co., Ltd.Click:894 Time:2024-08-19

I. Design Principles

1. Air Volume and Air Change Rate: The air volume of a cleanroom is generally calculated based on the indoor air change rate to ensure the cleanliness of the indoor air. Especially in unidirectional flow cleanrooms, the air change rate can reach hundreds of times the room volume.

2. Temperature and Humidity Control: To meet different process requirements, cleanrooms require extremely high precision in temperature and humidity control. For example, electronics manufacturing, medical applications, and laboratory animal care have specific regulations regarding temperature and humidity control. Cleanroom air handling units must have precise cooling, heating, humidification, and dehumidification functions.

II. Specific Measures

1. Multi-stage Filtration System

Pre-filter: Removes larger particles and fibers.

Medium-efficiency filter: Further removes dust and microorganisms from the air.

High-efficiency filter: Employs high-efficiency filters or sub-high-efficiency filters, selecting the appropriate high-efficiency filter based on the required air cleanliness.

2. Other Technologies

Humidification and Dehumidification: Depending on the required air humidity, the unit can be equipped with a humidifier and dehumidifier to achieve accurate humidity control.

Fresh Air Recovery and Utilization: To save energy and reduce operating costs, the unit can employ fresh air recovery and utilization technology, recovering exhaust air from the room and re-introducing it for treatment.

III. Measures for Adapting to Different Locations

1. Cleanrooms: Given the high air cleanliness requirements of cleanrooms, the unit is equipped with more efficient high-efficiency filters to ensure that air cleanliness meets the specified standards.

2. Operating Rooms: In addition to high air cleanliness requirements, operating rooms also require thorough elimination of bacteria and viruses in the air. The unit can integrate ultraviolet disinfection equipment or ozone generators for deep air disinfection.

3. Laboratories: Laboratories may have more complex air requirements, including strict restrictions on certain substances in the air in addition to cleanliness. The unit can be configured with appropriate adsorbents or filters to remove harmful substances from the air, depending on the specific needs of the laboratory.

IV. Intelligent Control

Modern clean air handling units are equipped with intelligent control systems that can automatically adjust operating parameters such as temperature, humidity, and airflow according to environmental needs, achieving energy-saving operation. At the same time, the system can also monitor the unit's operating status and air quality in real time, and promptly identify and resolve problems.
